Series 60: My Cousin’s Wedding

Start of Series 60: My Cousin’s Wedding

Last 23 October, my cousin William and his fiancee Zareena got married. Sensing an opportunity for a wedding photo story, I went out to shoot and this is the series done in the mold of traditional documentary photography. No special effects or dreamy images that are typically done to death by wedding photographers who call theirs as wedding photojournalism.

Have you considered converting to to B&W to give it a true photojournalism look?

A shallow depth of field would complete the look - making the subject of the picture stand out from the background.

Pat, thank you for visiting. I decided to go full color because I seem to like it more than the black and white. A shallow depth of field might have been a good one too but I was also thinking of the background for a layering effect.

    interesting photo blog. =)

i prefer your execution over black and white, shallow depth. key thing is you’re capturing a moment. it’s nice to see the people’s facial expressions as well. nicely done.
