The hotel, the hills

Fog has yet to lift as the early morning sun strikes the facade of the Waterfront Hotel. At the background are the rugged hills that runs the length of the entire province.

27 July 2007 22:24A good picture. what strike me though is the unsightly design of the hotel(?) in the landscape.
It simply doesn’t blend in the environment, let alone the nature.
And that’s one of the main responsibility of the architects in this age.

31 July 2007 23:43angelo, I agree with you. But unfortunately, architecture in most of rest of the Philippines just doesn’t harmonize with the environment.

7 August 2007 3:36Ah, one of my favorites when i used to live in Sugbu. I recall how expansive the lobby is with its world map painting done in a medieval fashion.
When i see this, I recall DOT Sec. Gabor and the ATF.
